Kalle uses gaffer tape
Kalle decides to make the sail first. He finds a bolt of fabric in the shed and cuts out a triangular shape to serve as the sail. The next we see of Kalle’s attempt is his completed boat: a small blue dish or lid onto which he has gaffer-taped the duck. The mast is made entirely of gaffer tape, and the sail is attached to it. When Pilvi launches the boat, is successfully stays afloat, though the sail is a bit too long and dips into the water. Kalle wins the task.
