Pirjo’s possible family connection
Through a line of questioning which is not included in the edit, Pirjo is able to focus her guesses around Lahti (a large city where Pirjo was born and raised). The man shares that he attended school in Lahti for nearly a decade. When Pirjo learns the name of the school, she wonders if the man attended class with her stepfather, as they are of a similar age. This appears to throw the man (who seems to have a different mutual acquaintance in mind), as he stumbles over his reply that perhaps he and Pirjo’s stepfather were in the same grade together, but not necessarily the same classroom. Pirjo confidently declares that her stepfather is the connection between the two of them. However, she then calls her stepfather for confirmation, and learns that he had graduated five years before the man. The fact that the man knew someone with the same name in his own class at the same school turns out to be a complete coincidence. After some further questioning which does not make the edit, Pirjo learns that the man has worked on national broadcast radio, and therefore knows some of the reporters. She declares then that their mutual acquaintance must be the broadcaster Hanski Kinnunen, and the man agrees. Pirjo takes 7 minutes and 43 seconds to identify their connection, and earns last place.
