Fathi’s multiple bluffs

Fathi is the only contestant whose chosen object appears to be shown clearly during the wrapping process: he says he has chosen to wrap his own spectacles, but also notes that deception is the most important part of the task. His object is wrapped in tissue paper and wrapping paper, and he then covers the whole package in clear packing tape. He also writes ‘SARKYVAA’ (‘FRAGILE’) on the package. Pilvi does not appear to even notice that Fathi’s glasses are missing, and suggests that he has tried to make her believe that the package contains an egg. She says that she thinks that the wrapped item is actually a small rock. Pilvi cuts open the packaging, which is mostly just tissue paper, and starts to slowly unwrap what is meant to be Fathi’s spectacles. However, in a bluff to not only Pilvi, but also to the viewing public, Fathi has simply hidden his spectacles and instead wrapped up one of the socks he’s been wearing all day. Jaakko is disappointed that everyone had simply wrapped small items in large amounts of packaging, and awards them all a single point.
