Romesh gives up
Romesh initially sets to work to try to find a way to build a paper tower supported by the flimsy metallic tape measure.
After some unsuccessful engineering efforts, he decides to opt for simplicity, stacking the supplies he was presented with in a small pile, and placing the egg on top.
The height of the egg is measured at 1.11m, including the table.
It is pointed out that this was essentially the height of the egg at the start of the task.
Ironically, despite having failed to raise the egg beyond its starting height, Romesh places second in this task, as three of the other contestants are disqualified.
