Jesper gets musical

When Mark advises Jesper not to open the task brief, Jesper instead fetches a drum machine from somewhere in the house, sets it up in the lab, and begins to play.

After a while, he stops and asks if Mark could open the envelope instead, but Mark declines.

After 11 minutes have passed, Jesper finds a button on the drum machine which plays some preprogrammed music, and he and Mark dance around the lab.

Jesper then fetches Lasse’s globe bar from the study, and pours cocktails for himself and Mark, while the two chat and listen to the drum machine.

The edit of his attempt cuts between the two of them having fun, and Jesper looking stressed, calling the task a “mindfuck”.

Eventually, he decides that he has had enough of drinking and dancing, and asks if he can take the task brief home with him.

Jesper shows the envelope to the camera, to prove that it remains unopened, and then leaves the lab after 34 minutes and 40 seconds.

In the studio, Jesper presents the task envelope, still unopened.

Lasse argues that the task has therefore not been solved, as the task brief was never opened.

Despite the absence of both cordial jugs and microwaves, and against the recommendations of not only Mark, but of all four other contestants, Jesper then opens the task in the studio.

Mark runs offstage and returns with two microwaves and two jugs of cordial.

Jesper begins reading the task brief out loud, significantly slowing down his reading speed towards the end, to buy Mark more time to set up the equipment.

He then picks up the hugs and places them onto the microwaves, completing the task after 5,812 hours, 44 minutes, and 20 seconds.

With a final time of roughly 242 days, he easily wins the task.
