Calle explains the offside rule

Calle initially considers drawing a penis, and then thinks about going down the route of erotic art, but decides against it because it would be hard to get the details rights.

He then considers drawing a Viking-age murder, or a political message, but eventually opts to make a diagram explaining the offside rule in football.

He begins by drawing the rectangular outline of the field, though he occasionally gets stuck in a bush.

He then draws the positions of the various players by running in small circles, and draws a dotted line across the picth by turning the GPS device on and off in quick succession.

He ends his attempt in a bush, asking if he has time to pee.

Calle ends up producing an image where the edges and centre of the pitch are well-delineated, but there is then a large trailing line, off from the bottom edge, where he'd forgotten to turn the device off before leaving.

In the studio, Calle uses his diagram to explain the offside rule to the audience, though acknowledges that he did not manage to accurately depict the positions of all 22 players on the pitch.

He gives a decent explanation, aided by his well-rendered dotted line, representing the position of the rear-most defending player.

Atle awards Calle first place.
