Anders casts a net
Anders asks Lisbeth if there are over 100 people in Denmark who do what she does as a job (she shakes her head), and then asks her if there are over 1,000 people who do it (she nods).
He thus determines that there are between 100 and 1,000 people engaged in her profession, in the country.
After mulling things over for a bit, Anders asks Lisbeth if she needs to talk, in order to do her job.
Incredibly, he then immediately asks her if she is a driving instructor.
When Mark asks how Anders how he’d made the jump from his previous question to guessing she was a driving instructor, Anders replies that he’d just “cast a net”.
In the studio, Mark reveals that Anders had asked Lisbeth just 12 questions, but that he’d also spent at least a minute thinking, in between each question.
Anders responds that “the right questions take time”.
Anders solves the task in 13 minutes and 27 seconds, and earns second place.
