Thomas looks for a loophole
Thomas looks around Mark’s room for something that can help.
When Mark asks what Thomas is looking for, he replies that he’s looking for his mother, as she would definitely know how long the yarn is.
He also starts looking around Mark’s room for a second length of yarn that might give an exact measurement, instead of the one that’s spread out throughout the house.
Before his time runs out, Thomas declares that there is 332 metres of yarn, which appears to be a completely random guess.
He earns last place.
