Mona uses banana peels
Mona asks Antoine if there are any bananas, wondering if she can manage to slide an entire kilometre on banana peels.
She surprisingly does not immediately discard this idea, but instead pulls out a table and a pair of skis from the shed, telling Antoine that she has been inspired by cross-country skiing, which she justifies as sliding, as it is considered a board sport (‘sport de glisse’).
Mona tapes a line of banana peels to the bottom of each ski, and has Antoine tape her into them when she has finished.
She uses a pair of crutches as walking poles, and emulates a cross-country skier as she makes her way across the driveway of the house and into the car park, announcing her intention to slide all the way down the nearby highway.
Mona slides 19.80 metres, and earns first place.
