Karen becomes Ray

Karen discusses some options, noting that Dai is “way shorter” than her and wouldn’t work.

She says that she thinks everyone will pick Ray, because it’s the obvious choice, but she also considers whether that might mean that ultimately no-one picks him. She therefore decides to become Ray.

After her transformation, she walks through the door wearing a messy black wig with bits of green dye at the ends of it, and a plain jacket and shorts, and holding a microphone.

She performs some deadpan stand-up in Ray’s style, making a joke about sunrises.

When Paul asks ‘Ray’ what his favourite movie is, Karen responds with What We Do In The Shadows, which Paul points out Karen just happens to appear in. ‘Ray’ responds that he’s aware of that because Karen is both his sister and his partner. Paul doesn’t feel good about this.

When Paul asks about Ray’s parents, Karen says she doesn’t want to talk about it, because they’ve been estranged ever since Karen and Ray started going out as siblings.

She earns 4 points.
