Christian’s homophonic present

Before the group convene to sell Ronny their gifts, Christian admits that he does not know Ronny at all, but knows that ‘Brede Aase’ sounds like ‘brede øse’ (‘wide ladle’), so that is exactly what he has put into his shopping bag.

When trying to sell his gift to Ronny, Christian tells him that although he does not know him, he gets the impression that Ronny is a big fan of food and drink and, as such, Christian has bought him something that will help him get as much food and drink into his stomach as possible, making him “un-thirsty and un-hungry”.

Ronny guesses that Christian’s bag contains some sort of culinary supplies, and ranks it as the third-most desirable, awarding him 3 points.
