Tete’s wedding present
Tete appears to have an advantage in this task, as he has worked with Ronny for several years at the NRK radio station P3.
Before the group convene to sell Ronny their gifts, Tete admits that when he had attended Ronny’s wedding to his wife, Tuva (not the contestant of the same name), he had forgotten to take his gift there with him. He therefore places the forgotten wedding gift into the shopping bag: an envelope full of cash to help with the honeymoon expenses.
When trying to sell his gift to Ronny, Tete tells him that he has brought something that is worth more than Tete had paid for it, and is guaranteed to bring Ronny back to the happiest day of his life.
Ronny chooses to open Tete’s bag, and it is revealed that not only has Tete put the wedding gift inside it, but he has also put in an additional 17 euros, which he says is how much he could buy with 200 kroner. Presumably the exchange rate had changed between the time when Tete bought the euros, and when he gave them to Ronny, to mean he was technically telling the truth about it now being worth more that what he’d paid for it.
Tete earns 5 points because his was the gift that Ronny chose to accept.
