Stian’s bankruptcy insurance
Before the group convene to sell Ronny their gifts, Stian notes that Ronny is part of a “vulnerable group”, claiming that people named Ronny often tend to go bankrupt.
[Note: a study from 2011, looking data from 2009, revealed that ‘Ronny’ was at the top of the list of the most common names of bankrupt individuals in Norway. However, in a 2013 update to the study, it was revealed that the name had not been at the top of the list since 2009.]
With that thought in mind, Stian has purchased 200 kroner’s worth of bankruptcy insurance for Ronny, along with a list what he claims to be all of the Ronnys that have gone bankrupt, as a reminder.
When trying to sell his gift to Ronny, Stian tells him that his gift is something that Ronny will need, statistically, and which should serve as “security, motivation, and inspiration”.
Ronny asks Stian if his gift has something to do with insurance, and Stian quietly agrees.
Ronny calls Stian’s gift “boring”, and ranks it the fourth-most desirable item, earning Stian 2 points.
