Sue finds the diagram
Sue removes the roses from the vase, and notices that one of them is attached to a drinking straw, so she dismantles it.
After using the straw to move a little of water to the vase, and realising just how long that method will take, Sue turns her attention to the box of matches.
Pouring out the contents of the box, she finds the diagram of the plate and the vase inside. However, she doesn’t immediately understand the diagram (since she’s holding it upside-down), and believes that it is referring to there being something under the table.
Underneath the table, Sue finds a “weird trap door”, made out of duct tape, and so starts to peel it off while holding the vase underneath it. However, this turns out to be just a strip of duct tape, and so Sue expresses her annoyance at Alex for making her look like a “proper fool”.
Returning her attention to the diagram on the inside of the match box, she realises that she’s been holding it upside-down. Following the diagram’s instructions, but confused as to how it could actually work, she is genuinely amazed when the water level starts to rise inside the vase, laughing excitedly and exclaiming “What have I created?”.
Presumably worried about leaving any of the water on the plate, Sue then licks the dregs off, after asking if she can “lick around the corners”, before wiping away any remaining traces with a tissue.
However, in the studio, Alex shows some additional footage which reveals that Sue had made the same mistake as Sam (forgetting she had already spat some water into the vase before inverting it), and had therefore also spilled some of her water.
Sue is therefore disqualified.
