Sue provides instructions to Susan with military precision

Sue begins the task in the garage, while Susan starts in the lab.

Sue is more precise with her words than Lucy, starting by telling Susan to “place a floor covering in the centre of the room”. However, she then uses the forbidden word “middle” when instructing Susan to put “a piece of furniture used for sitting” on top of the floor covering. She then instructs Susan to put “some statuary” on top of a “column”.

Sue is able to communicate ‘left’ and ‘right’ by asking if Susan knows which hand Sue writes with (left), then telling Sue that she may want to put an item (she uses the forbidden word ‘plinth’) on that side. As Susan is right-handed, Sue uses this method to help Susan position items for the rest of the recreation.

Sue continues to instruct Susan, telling her each item’s location in the scene before moving on to the next item.

The two have a bit of a hiccup when Sue tells Susan to place “a rubbish receptacle with the face of a red-nosed entertainer”, and Susan can only think of Santa Claus, though she admits that she wouldn’t classify Santa as an entertainer.

In the last few minutes of their time, Sue gives Susan a summary of the scene, so Susan can check her recreation against the original scene. During this recap, Sue once again trips on the forbidden word “plinth” a few times, and then gets frustrated with herself, which causes Susan to tell her not to panic.

Susan’s recreation casts a rubber duck with two large feathers as the flamingos, a statue of a woman holding a fan as the mannequin, a rubber duck on an overturned drinking glass as the gargoyle on the plinth, a small golden pineapple as the large golden pineapple, and a pitcher filled with flowers for the plant. She also represents the chair covered with a blanker with an unknown item covered with some sort of cloth.

In the studio, Greg once again highlights Sue’s ‘action mode’ voice, likening her to a World War 2 fighter pilot. Sue agrees, calling it “pure Biggles”.

In total, Sue used forbidden words nine times, and Susan accurately recreated six things from the garage scene.

Greg awards both teams 3 points.
