Marte’s phallic bottle opener

While preparing to present her prize submission, Marte clears her throat in a particularly manly way, which surprises everyone. Marte jokingly asks if she can submit her accidentally manly cough as her thing that does not fit, instead of her chosen prize.

Her actual submission is a combination of things that she believes does not fit together: a bottle opener with a wooden handle carved in the shape of a phallus. She says that she finds the phallus part completely unnecessary, and notes that it is unnecessarily large for the small bottle opener.

Marte also says that the bottle opener doesn’t fit with her, as it was an item she’d owned prior to the show, and was not specifically bought for the prize task.

Although Atle jokingly implies that Marte uses it as a sex toy, she explains that she had in fact purchased it on a trip to Crete, and had then given it to her teenage son.

Atle awards Marte second place.
