Mona uses a power tool
Mona immediately removes the pedometer from the shoe, and shakes it by hand. Unlike everyone else, Mona uses short, quick shakes, rather than shaking her whole arm. She jokingly credits this method to being “a homosexual with a trained wrist”.
Recognising that the pedometer counts steps by going up and down, Mona searches the shed for something which can assist her, and soon emerges with a jigsaw. Commenting that her father will be proud of her for using power tools, she duct-tapes the pedometer to the jigsaw’s blade, then duct-tapes the jigsaw to the table, with the blade and pedometer hanging over the side.
As the jigsaw runs, Mona retrieves a chair and sits nearby, taking in the sun’s rays while Antoine serves her a Cosmopolitan.
Mona’s pedometer records 3,352 steps, and she wins the task.
