Christian uses technology and instincts

Christian heads into the house and soon emerges with a large cardboard tube and his backpack.

He puts the egg in the tube and leaves his backpack on the stairs. When Olli asks about the backpack, Christian explains that he has a motion tracker, and he intends to use it to measure 400 metres from the starting point of the task, while rolling the egg around in the tube.

Christian then walks away from the house and into the street. After passing a few neighbouring houses, Christian pulls out his phone to check his travelled distance and realises the flaw in his plan: his tracker covers actual travelled distance, not ‘air line’ distance.

Christian decides to go with his gut instinct instead, and continues to walk. As he does, he muses that he rarely just follows his instincts, but that when he does, “it’s so intense that it might work”.

Continuing to listen to his instincts, Christian eventually stops in the middle of a road, declaring that he has travelled 400 metres.

In the studio, Olli reveals that Christian actually only travelled 231 metres, as the crow flies. Christian is therefore disqualified.
