Tete stays on the driveway

Tete estimates that the length of the driveway from the house to the road is 60 metres. He therefore decides to walk several laps of the same course while rolling the egg in a wooden bowl which he is carrying.

He tells Olli that he won’t ‘cheat’ by stopping at any point. Indeed, Tete simply walks around his boundary cones each time he completes a lap, and continues walking and rolling the egg, doing the maths in his head. He eventually stops in the middle of a lap and confidently declares that he has reached the 400 metre mark.

In the studio, Atle decides that even though the phrase used in the task brief is literally ‘in-air distance’, that the distance the egg rolls does not need to be between ‘Point A’ and ‘Point B’. He therefore accepts Tete’s solution, and Tete earns second place, having rolled the egg 376 metres.
