Christian’s scientific analysis

Christian brings in something which he claims is a common sight: a simple baseball cap. More specifically, it is apparently one of Atle’s own caps.

Believing that such an old cap would certainly contain more than one might think, Christian reveals that he had taken the headwear to a laboratory, to get an analysis of its contents (presumably of the sweatband, in particular).

Microscopic images taken during this analysis are displayed on screen in the studio, while Christian reveals that the cap turned out to contain skin cells, spruce pollen, and fabric fibre from the cap itself.

He points out that based on the presence of multiple skin cells versus very few fabric fibres, Atle’s cap contains more skin residue than cap (thus coining the episode title).

Christian also shares that the cap contained quite a lot of bacteria, and informs Atle that it probably shouldn’t be worn anymore.

Atle awards Christian first place.
