Marte’s holy embarrassment

Marte is extremely hesitant to reveal her prize, having seen the other contestants’ submissions.

Atle tells her it’s okay to forfeit the prize round, but also makes sure to emphasise that it would be a first for the show.

Tete encourages her to proceed, so Marte rallies and reveals her prize: the Bible.

She explains that, for many people, the Bible holds much meaning, but that she personally hasn’t read it all. She says she knows some of the Bible stories, but has not actually read them, as she does not believe them.

Marte then points out that, in a more literal sense, the Bible contains more than she personally thinks (as in, believes in).

Christian offers a clearly-embarrassed Marte the red cloth that had previously covered her Bible, to cover herself.

Atle awards Marte last place.
