Stian runs laps with a sponge cake
Stian experiences a minor mental short-circuit after reading the task brief, wondering how it could possibly be completed, after which he simply laughs in disbelief and stands motionless.
In the studio, Stian lowers his head as everyone laughs at his reaction. When Atle questions why Stian finds the concept of getting a cake through a door so difficult, Stian explains that he had “completely run out of brain capacity”, and had become fixated on how he might bring something into the same location twice without leaving.
Back at the house, Stian picks up the cake and heads into the building via the side door, before quickly making his way through the living room and entering the study.
He stops for a while in the study, and asks Olli if he is allowed to repeat doors, as long as they are not used twice in a row. Olli simply replies that all of the information is in the task.
Still staring at Olli for any hints, Stian side-steps back into the living room. Unaware that his attempt is already over, Stian then runs multiple laps between the entrance hall, the living room, and the study – three doors which are all very close to each other.
After being left to his own devices to run laps around the house, a smiling Stian eventually decides to check the task brief again. He runs back to the shed and re-reads the task brief, before throwing back his head and sighing.
In the studio, Atle calls this moment “some of the best TV you can get”.
Stian takes his cake through 33 doors – 24 of which were repeats of his loop – leaving him with a total of just nine unique doors, and earning him last place.
