Episode synopsis

In this season finale, the contestants must bring in something suitable for an ending, make the largest spinning top, carry a cake through as many doorways as possible, perform an impressive robotic lawn mower agility show, and be the second-to-last person to jump out of their box.

This is the only episode where Tuva does not wear sparkly shoes; instead, she wears a sparkly top.

Unusually, during the title sequence and at several other points in the show, text is displayed on screen to indicate that the episode contains product placement. This warning has not been seen on Kongen Befaler before. Presumably it is in reference to the brand names shown on both Marte’s toilet paper and Stian’s candles during the prize task (though it could potentially also refer to the robotic lawnmower).

Title context

“Impressive spinning top” is not a direct quote from anyone or anything that happens during the episode. Instead, it is a reference to the euphemistic nature of the ‘Make the largest spinning top’ task (while the Norwegian word ‘snurrebass’ means ‘spinning top’, it is also a euphemism for ‘penis’).
