Phil’s gold record
Phil brings in the gold record awarded to the Quebec folk-rock duo 2Frères, for their first album, Nous autres.
Phil explains that he did a show at a venue called Le Vieux Clocher de Magog, which happened to be near where the brothers lived, and the three had struck up a conversation.
When Phil informed the two of his background in music, they invited him over to their place for a jam session, at which point he says he took the record.
The way Phil tells the story, it sounds like the brothers had actually given Phil the record, so Louis asks Phil to clarify whether the record was stolen, or a gift.
Phil says that Nos autres had won so many gold records from so many different radio stations and publications, that he knew that the pair would not notice if one went missing.
Louis awards Phil joint third place.
