Deborah paints it black
When asked by Alex how long it takes her to eat an orange, Deborah gives an estimate of three minutes. However, after reading the task brief, she says “On reflection, I reckon it could take me over an hour”.
She leaves the tablet on its easel, and attempts to draw herself using her own nose.
At some point during her attempt, she notes that the screen has “gone blank”, which turns out to be the result of her accidentally filling most of the screen with black.
Deborah directs her increasing anger towards Alex, pointing out that she doesn’t like him standing over her should saying “Hmmm”, and then pointing out how rude he is for inviting her on the show only to make her rub her nose against a tablet screen when she has no idea where the device even came from.
She ends her attempt clearly very pleased with her drawing, but doesn’t seem so pleased with it in the studio, claiming that she’d gone “abstract” with it.
Half of Deborah’s original drawing is hidden, due to her accidentally filling a large area with black, with the end result being described by Greg as a picture of her eating fruit, but as seen from within a bird hide.
Alex reveals that they had been able to remove the black layer she’d created, to show what her original drawing of herself purportedly eating a banana had looked like. It seems that everyone on stage agrees that her drawing is even worse, without the black fill.
It’s hard to make out what she has drawn, but it appears to focus on her very round head and the banana. When Greg questions what a part hanging down near the bottom of the drawing is, Deborah attempts to claim it’s her “very long tongue”.
Greg judges that Deborah’s drawing is “obviously” the worst, as it doesn’t look remotely like her or “a person”, so she earns last place.
