Charlotta eventually admits defeat
Charlotta initially makes a hammock out of some sort of sturdy fabric and some bungee cords, using a tree as one point of connection, and holding the other end herself. However, she quickly abandons this idea, and finds a different material to use for her hammock bed – a large tarp.
She uses rope to tie the tarp between two trees. Even though she notices early on that the tarp tears under pressure, she pushes on and gets into the hammock with David, and the two keep their feet on the ground to take some of the pressure off of the tarp. However, the tarp still tears apart less than two seconds after the two sit on the hammock.
After two tries – during which the tarp hammock tears off of different parts of the tree – Charlotta admits defeat, and simply walks away.
In the studio, David points out that not only had Charlotta not completed the time requirement, but that she had also neglected to bring the task brief into the hammock with her, while they were ‘chilling’.
Charlotta earns a single participation point.
