Mauri sabotages Charlotta and Johan with poor preparation

After reading the initial task brief, Mauri says that they should not sacrifice their dominant hands to fulfil the task. Johan offers a different solution: one person should put one hand on their own hip, and another person should put both of their hands on their hips, leaving the third team member with both hands free. Mauri observes that Johan’s idea is either “amazing or terrible”, and he then suggests that they instead arrange themselves in a conga line. He manoeuvres the group so that Charlotta is in the front, he is in the middle, and Johan is at the rear, each with one hand sacrificed to the hip of the teammate in front of them.

After the second task brief is read, Mauri laments that their chosen set-up is actually far from ideal. He then gives a sly grin directly at the camera.

Johan quickly takes command, laying out a plan: pick up the nearby watering cans, take them to the bathtub to fill them with water, and then pour them into the toilet. However, after retrieving the cans, the team quickly learns that the bathtub is actually empty.

They then make their way over to the hose, where they discover that the handle is missing from the tap, rendering the hose useless. The team then notices a nearby barrel with several glasses of liquid set up on it, and Charlotta pours all of them into her watering can.

In footage that does not make the final edit of their attempt, the team finds liquid somewhere else, which is emptied into Johan’s watering can (it may have been the liquid from the small watering can on the bench, next to the juice glasses). As Johan and Charlotta empty their watering cans, Mauri re-reads the task brief (presumably instead of doing something actually helpful, like looking for other water sources).

The team then ascend up onto the porch, and find another full watering can. While Charlotta looks around for more water, she reminds Mauri to keep his hand on her hips, suggesting that he had been trying to break that rule while she had been distracted.

As the team start back down the steps, Charlotta stops them, as she notices the small birdbath hanging from the banister, and adds its water to her can. The team return to the toilet to deposit their liquid, and Johan jokingly asks if they will all stay in touch after the task has been completed.

Johan then notices some large tyres near the bathtub, and suggests that the team check inside them for water. Unfortunately, Charlotta removes her hand from her hip to move the tyres, while searching. Johan is apparently too busy searching to notice, and if Mauri notices, he does not comment. However, Charlotta realises her mistake, and informs her team. Johan stares at the nearby cameraman and demands to know if he had filmed that moment. A flashback is then shown of Charlotta on the porch several minutes earlier, when she again accidentally removed her hand, to switch which one was holding the watering can.

Johan and Charlotta carry the tyres to the toilet and, as the two work together to transfer the water from inside of them, Mauri gives a sneaky grin directly to the camera.

In the studio, Mauri admits that he did not actually do much to sabotage his team (outside of their initial positioning), and that his sabotage largely consisted of “giggling into the camera about being mischievous”.

When the final results of both teams are compared, Charlotta, Johan, and Mauri are the obvious winners of the task. As he had failed to sabotage his team, Mauri receives no points. Despite Charlotta’s hands-on-hips slip-ups, she and Johan each earn 3 points.
