Johan employs the sniff test

Johan opens the closest can to him and spills it on the ground, only to discover that it is filled with tomatoes.

He then picks up cans seemingly at random, making holes in them with the can opener, and sniffing them to determine their contents. He finally comes across a can that passes his sniff test, and opens it before spilling its contents, only to discover that he has just poured a can of chickpeas on the ground.

He continues his sniffing strategy, idly reminding David about the story of Sisyphus and the boulder, before observing that his sense of smell is starting to confuse beans and tomatoes. David makes an off-handed comment that such a condition would be especially disastrous if the beans happened to be in tomato sauce.

An annoyed Johan then changes strategies, opening the cans enough to be able to look at their contents.

Unlike Sisyphus, Johan actually manages to complete his objective, as he manages to randomly select and open the correct can, spilling the beans onto the ground.

Johan completes the task in 7 minutes and 5 seconds, and earns fourth place.
