Kevin deals with two different gravities

Kevin immediately sets up a catapult, using a snow shovel and a recycling bin. He tests his creation, using a tennis ball in place of the coconut. He also tests how the shovel will react when he throws an exercise ball onto its handle (presumably under the assumption that he cannot directly interfere with the part of his machine that throws the coconut).

After wondering if he himself could be considered a machine, and therefore just throw the coconut, Kevin goes back to the shed and soon emerges with a bag of sand.

Kevin climbs a short ladder and drops the sandbag directly onto the shovel, and is pleased by how far the tennis ball is thrown [Note: It’s not known which order the tasks were filmed in but, given this specific combination of items leading to success here, Kevin is either remembering his victory in the ‘Make the highest splash’ task, or he takes what he learns during this task into the splash task].

Off-camera, Antoine presumably asks Kevin why he is climbing the ladder, as Kevin is then shown explaining to Antoine that he climbs the ladder to get “more height and gravity”, so that when the ‘gravity’ of the sandbag hits the shovel, “the other gravity” will launch the coconut (thus coining the episode title; Kevin is clearly confusing ‘gravity’ and ‘force’).

Kevin’s attempt is successful, and the coconut rolls away from the shed area and underneath the fence, where it presumably continues for a while in the grass before finally stopping.

Kevin’s coconut travels 9.2 metres, and he earns second place.
