Kristoffer’s bust in gold
Having come after both Calle and Leo’s sweater entries, Kristoffer jokes that he would easily win the round, if value were measured purely by sweater size, as he is easily the largest of the three men.
However, he explains that he has instead decided to bring something infinitely more valuable: his Kongen Befaler trophy from season 6.
Kristoffer explains that, unlike most of the other contestants, he is able to provide an actual monetary value for his prize submission, as Atle has always claimed, at the start of each episode, that the bust is made of gold. Kristoffer shares that he has checked the international gold prices which, at the time of recording, valued one gram of gold as being worth 618 kroner (around £45 / US$56). Doing some basic maths using this value, Kristoffer has therefore calculated that his 6.8kg ‘bust in gold’ is worth 4.2 million kroner (around £307k / US$385k).
Atle, presumably to preserve the illusion that the show’s trophy is fashioned from pure gold, awards Kristoffer first place.
