Kristoffer keeps it festive and random

During his research time, Kristoffer attempts to ask “Niin, entäs se Joulusen herra?” (‘How is Santa Claus?’), but the way he pronounces it makes it sound like he’s asking about ‘The Christmas Lord’ (thus coining the episode title). When Kauko arrives, Kristoffer repeats this question, in reference to a friendly rivalry between Norway and Finland in which both countries claim to be the location of Santa’s true home. Kauko interprets Kristoffer’s mispronunciation a little differently, replying that Christmas will also take place in the Sahara.

Kristoffer then chooses to ask Kauko if he listens to any MC Hammer, even going so far as to sing a little bit of U Can’t Touch This to make sure Kauko is familiar with the artist.

Kristoffer then changes topic again, asking Kauko what his favourite beer is. Kauko replies that he enjoys Hansa Light (a gluten-free beer). Kristoffer has already planned ahead for this question, learning the phrase “Never heard of it” in Finnish, on the assumption that Kauko will mention some obscure Finnish brand, and not the very well-known Norwegian brand of Hansa Light.

In the studio, Olli informs Kristoffer that he’d had the best Finnish pronunciation out of all five contestants.

Kauko awards Kristoffer second place.
