Solveig uses an electric heater
Solveig moves what appears to be an electric heater into the lab, and transfers the mulled wine into a metal cup, in order to encourage it to heat faster.
She eventually realises that she does not need to heat all of the mulled wine, and so pours most of it back into the mug, in order to more quickly raise the temperature of a smaller amount. She pours out additional wine more than once, accidentally pouring nearly all of it out, during her last pour, and leaving only dregs of wine in the metal cup.
Solveig warms a little of her wine to 45°C (113°F), and earns third place.
