John hitches a ride with an egg
After reading the task brief, John first asks if it’s possible to swallow an egg whole and then get it out again. However, he dismisses this idea as impractical, given the time limit. In the studio, he confirms to Greg that he had been considering defecating the egg back out.
Johns actual attempt depicts the egg wedged into the headrest of a car’s driving seat, supposedly giving John a lift down the driveway of the house. John thanks the egg for doing so, noting (for expository purposes) that the egg’s husband is currently engaged in his “cow-riding lesson”.
John then spots that the car is heading straight towards Linda the Cow, who has an egg taped to her back. The expression on the cow-riding egg’s face changes from happy to scared as the car comes toward them.
Luckily. the car-driving egg manages to swerve into a nearby brick wall, stopping the car. John asks the egg if she’s okay, and graciously thanks her for saving his life, after which the egg winks.
In the studio, Greg asks John to elaborate on the narrative, which he does. John also makes the case for the riskiness of his attempt by telling Greg to ask the production team about the two-hour meeting they’d all had beforehand (in the companion podcast episode, John explained that they had to explore all of the insurance implications of the stunt).
As John and Joanne’s eggs were the only ones that didn’t break, and John’s stunt was the most risky, he earns 5 points.
