Joanne goes under wraps
After reading the task brief, Joanne dismisses her first idea, suggesting that it would’ve been considered too filthy. In the studio, Greg assumes that (like John) she was suggesting eating the egg and then defecating it back out. However, Joanne immediately rebuts this, clarifying that she was going to “add it to the rest” of her eggs, “for safety” (implying that she was planning to shove the egg up her vagina).
Back in the house, Joanne instead asks for some bubble wrap, and then wraps the egg up in an excessive amount of the stuff, cut from a gigantic roll, and secures the package with tape.
Joanne then heads outside, stands on a ladder on the decking, and tosses the bubble wrap pillow against the fence from a few metres away, watching it fall softly to the ground.
Joanne subsequently engages in a bubble-wrapped egg pillow tennis rally with Alex, which they both appear to genuinely enjoy.
Joanne then decides to beat the bubble wrap pillow with her tennis racket and a boxing glove, before kicking it across the decking at the very end of her attempt.
In the studio, Greg acknowledges Joanne’s idea of protecting the egg with bubble wrap, but then suggests that she’d subsequently decided to do the least risky thing with it, by tossing it back and forth with Alex on tennis rackets.
Alex notes that Joanne had started out by saying she would “fuck it against a brick wall like a mad bastard” which she had in fact done at the start of her attempt, though it probably seems a lot riskier in her head.
With Joanne and John’s eggs being the only ones unbroken at the end of their attempts, Greg awards Joanne 4 points for the cleverness of the bubble wrap, but lack of actual risk.
