Sophie cracks under bad posture

Sophie suggests that it would be pretty risky to balance the egg on her head, noting that her grandma had practiced good posture by balancing an apple or book on her head.

As a practice run, she stands up straight and balances a small cup she finds on the mantelpiece on her head. As she does so, Alex suggests that her hair is a bit like a nest, so ideal for balancing an egg. Although Sophie agrees with this, she makes sure to highlight that the act itself is still risky.

Deciding to go for it, Sophie then nestles the egg in her hair, with the intention of performing a lunge while it is up there. Before she can even start her lunge, however, the egg wobbles and then rolls off her head, landing in the crook of her elbow before cracking open on the table below. Sophie looks down at the “sad egg” and then leaves the room.

In the studio, Greg suggests to Sophie that her idea of creating risk is to occasionally look into the camera and say “risky” (imitating her strong Lancashire accent). Sophie reacts to Greg’s impression of her by pointing out that she’s “not Johnny fucking Vegas”. She then insists that her lunge with the egg would have been a risky thing to do, and demonstrates the lunge she would’ve done.

Sophie is disqualified for breaking her egg.
