Steve tops his baby up with milk
As soon as he takes charge of the water baby, Steve becomes a very caring dad, reassuring the fluid that there is nothing to be frightened of.
Steve decides to clean Greg’s shoes first. As he arrives at Greg’s statue, he questions what he’s going to clean them with, stating “Oh, I can’t use the baby!”. He then proceeds to do just that, getting his hand wet by dipping his palm in the surface of the water and claiming he’s “patting the baby’s head”. He then spills more of the baby accidentally, while leaning forward to clean the shoes.
Next up, Steve heads to the caravan to do the washing up, singing while doing so.
He then plans to hang the laundry, but somehow gets the idea that this needs to happen by the shed and, finding no washing line, assumes that he must create his own. Dragging a tangled rope out of the shed, he has Alex hold one end up in the air, and then removes Alex’s jacket and hangs it over the line. Although this wasn’t the actual laundry which needed hanging, Alex confirms that he is satisfied with the job Steve has done.
Checking his to-to list, Steve then realises that the chore he was supposed to complete by the shed was dusting the rug. Instead of using the carpet sweeper, he decides that the best way to dust the rug is to violently shake it. After a few shakes, he checks in on whether Alex is satisfied with his dusting, which he is not.
Next, he heads to the gate to make some milk for his baby, which he then uses to top up his baby, after asking if it is thirsty.
Finally, Steve heads to the dome to change his baby’s nappy. In the final few seconds, he pats the baby and tells it that he loves it.
In the studio, Alex reveals that Steve had only lost 7% of his baby during the task, thanks to having thought to top it back up with the milk. Greg responds to this by asking “Who would’ve thought that you would come across in this competition as a more effective parent by force-feeding your baby?”, and Steve apologises to his own children for their upbringing.
Steve ultimately places second and earns 4 points.
