John's farthing collection

John brings in his collection of farthing coins. He says that he didn’t have many friends at school, and girls weren’t keen on him either, so he’d decided to “set himself apart” through coin collection.

Commenting on the discoloration of most of the coins, Greg says they’ve been discoloured by John’s “tears of loneliness”. When Alex asks Greg if he wants to squeeze John’s collection, Greg says he actually wants to hold and console John instead.

Greg initially wants to give both John and Sophie just 1 point each, but after John suggests that they should both be given 2 points, Greg agrees.
