Ville’s road map

Ville brings in a 2024 road map of Finland.

Pilvi admits that the map evokes a “big feeling” within her, but she can’t quite explain what it is.

When pressed by Jaakko for more information about the gift, Ville says that normally he would humiliate anyone who would give him such a thing as a gift, but that he was not able to, since his prize represents the map that was given to him by his now-deceased mother-in-law, and was actually the only gift he had received for his 30th birthday (Ville was 50 at the time of filming).

Ville holds the belief that since GPS had been already been invented by that time, that physical maps had no need to exist anymore, and that he would rather follow a faulty GPS instruction and drive straight into a cliff than attempt to read a map.

Jaakko awards Ville second place.
