Episode 4: BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
Episode synopsis
In this episode, the contestants must: bring in the coolest thing they've found on a walk within 1km of their house; sink a bowling ball; snap, crackle, and pop some things; spread generic yeast spread on something, and then clean it up; and recreate famous scenes from history, using only four-letter words. There's also a thrilling tie-breaker involving honking a car horn as quietly as possible.
Title context
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!" is uttered multiple times by Danielle Walker, during the 'Recreate scenes from history' task.
Taskmaster Intro
Yes! Hello. Welcome to Taskmaster Australia. My name is Tom Gleeson, and I am this country's only Taskmaster. This is, in many ways, the Sydney Olympics of television. Heroes will be born, hearts will be broken, and ultimately it should bring about $7 billion to the Australian economy. And why do it? So one lucky athlete can come home with this: my beautiful head cast in gold. On the starting blocks tonight are the same contestants we always have.
Assistant Intro
And what would an Olympics be without its Nikki Webster? It's my cute little super-starlet, Tom Cashman.
Note: Nicole Marie Webster is an Australian pop singer, known for her role in performing at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
Taskmaster's Sign-off
Tonight, we learnt that bowling balls can be annoyingly buoyant, and we also learnt that Tom Cashman better hope this show gets another season, as he makes a terrible sound operator. Most importantly, however, we learnt our episode four winner is Jimmy!
