Painting in the dark
- In this task the contestants are instructed to complete a painting on a canvas in a dark room.
- In some versions, the edges of the paint pots, table and canvas are highlighted with glow-in-the-dark tape, but no visual indication is given as to the colours of the available paints.
- In another version, no such visual indicators are provided.
- The light switch is also available to the contestants, though many do not notice or think of this.

Adapted versions
In this version of the task the contestants are asked to reproduce an existing painting, and then the lights are turned off. No glow-in-the-dark guides are provided to help them locate anything in the dark.
