Bash the big bell with the bowling ball
- In this task, the contestants must attempt to ring a large bell with a bowling ball.
- The bell is set up a distance away from them across some grass, and the contestants are prohibited from stepping on the grass unless they are wearing golden shoes.
- The Taskmaster's assistant is wearing such a pair of shoes, but will only give them to the contestant in exchange for cash, a soft-boiled egg, or if they physically remove them.
- An alternate pair of golden shoes is usually also provided somewhere in plain view on the property.
- Spray paints are usually also provided, which the contestants may use to paint some shoes themselves, but the caps of the paints have usually been swapped to trick them into using the wrong colour.
Original version
In this version of the task, the contestants must ring a large service bell which is laid on the grass.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the bell is suspended above the ground, instead of lying on the grass. Also, points are awarded in a linear fashion based on speed of completion, rather than only the fastest and slowest competitors earning points.
