Le Maître du Jeu: French-Canadian version of Taskmaster announced

Surprise news arrived with the international Taskmaster fandom this week in the form of announcements (CVTM article / Hollywood PQ article), in the French-Canadian press, that a version of Taskmaster named 'Le Maître du Jeu' ['The Game Master'] will air in Quebec on the French-Canadian Noovo TV network in the Autumn of 2022.

Taking up the role of the titular Game Master in the show will be the Canadian actor and screenwriter, Louis Morissette.

Assisting him in this role will be the Québécois improv actor Antoine Vézina.

The show will have a fixed panel of five contestants, consisting of the Algerian-Canadian comedian Mehdi Bousaidan, and the Québécois comedians Ève Côté, Christine Morency, Matthieu Pepper, and Jo Cormier.

While this is definitely exciting news, many fans of the franchise are still holding out for the possibility of an English-language Canadian version.

Perhaps if Le Maître du Jeu proves successful, we can look forward to a second Canadian version of the show in 2023?
