Task brief

The task brief is received outside a lift on the fifth floor of a building, where there is a wooden crate containing a variety of costume pieces and other supplies, along with a metal briefcase, on a table. The brief for the task is as follows:

Change your appearance in the lift.

The most dramatic change wins.

You may not begin your change until the lift is in motion.

You should be finished by the time the lift reaches the ground floor.

You have five minutes to choose the items you want to use to change your appearance, but they must fit inside the briefcase.

Task notes

In the studio, David clarifies that the lift takes 20 seconds to travel down the four storeys to the ground floor.
As the lift descends, David runs down the stairs to be ready to greet the contestant as they exit in their disguise.
