Build a tower using only onions.
Tallest tower wins.
Also, whoever delivers the most moving speech will have 15cm added to their tower height.
You have 10 minutes.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- Based on what New Zealand task writer Sam Smith said on the 20 January 2023 episode of the Taskmaster: The People's Podcast, some of the onions left over from this task appear to have been repurposed for the 'Empty briefcase, or briefcase full of onions?' task.

Attempts
Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- David cut the onions to stack them, using his cutting as part of his speech about shaping himself to be what people want. However, his tower fell apart at the end so his tower was only a half-onion, so his tower was 5.2cm and he received 1 point.
- Guy cut up the onions to stack them, whilst talking about a New Zealand ice skater, Steven Bradby, who won against all odds. He made a 16.6cm tower and received the extra 15cm for his speech, receiving 5 points.
- Laura piled onions onto the barrel whilst retelling the story of Finding Nemo. She made a 22cm tower, receiving 4 points.
- Matt originally stacked buckets full of onions on top of each other whilst talking about the beauty of life, before he attempted to stack onions, which failed. He made a 1-onion tower that was 7.4cm tall, receiving 2 points.
- Urzila cut the onions to stack them, whilst talking about how animals in Africa are dirtier than those in the zoo. She made a 15cm tower, receiving 3 points.
