Find your hand

Task notes

• Eight large boards have been leant against the walls of the lab, each of which is covered with a grid of photographs of people's hands (plus one bird’s foot and one dog’s paw).
• It was confirmed by a member of the Metronome Productions team that all of the images of hands (other than the contestants’) used in this task were the same ones used in the production of the original task by Avalon. So if you were one of the 3,000 viewers who submitted an image in response to Alex’s November 2021 call-out on Twitter, your hand has also now been on Danish television.
• On the model display hand, there is a piece of tape with text on which reads ‘Udeluk 1 plade = 100 gæt’ (‘Exclude 1 board = 100 guesses’).
• Inside the model display hand, there is a laser pointer.
• Near the ceiling, on either side of the lab, two small mirrors have been mounted, one of which has a small square frame of tape on it.
• Above one of the boards, towards the back of the lab, there is a mounting point for the laser pointer, which ensures that the beam bounces off the mirror with the tape, then off the second mirror, and highlights the photo of the contestant's own hand.
