The task brief is secretly attached to the contestants’ own backs by a member of the production team before they enter the living room. The brief for the task is as follows:
Place something somewhere surprising.
The thing that makes the Taskmaster ask ‘How did that get there?’ the loudest wins.
There is a bonus point for the most surprising answer to that question.
You have a maximum of 30 minutes.

Task notes
- When the contestants enter the living room and don’t find a task brief on the table as usual, Alex does not reveal to them that it’s attached to their backs, instead letting them find it for themselves while providing more or less helpful clues.
- While searching for the task brief, Mathew finds an unrelated mini task brief hidden inside a compartment in the bookcase, which reads:
Congratulations.
You've discovered the magic moustache.
You must wear it until the end of this task.
