Mastertask notes:

In this version of the task, the contestants must take it in turns to name musical acts in alphabetical order, nominate another contestant, and then ring a service bell.

Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Say things that belong to the topic given by the Taskmaster, in alphabetical order.

When it’s your turn, say something belonging to a given subject whose first letter is next in the alphabet relative to the first letter of the thing said before.

Afterwards, name another contestant you want to continue.

If you fail to name something that starts with the correct first letter, you’re out of the game.

The last remaining contestant wins.

Task notes

The contestants are stood side-by-side on stage, and a service bell has been placed on a small table on the stage, a few steps in front of them.
Although not explicitly stated in the task brief as seen being read, the contestants are expected to ring the bell after every nomination.
Jaakko assigns a single category (musical acts) for the contestants to name things from, and since they never reach the end of the alphabet, does not need to change the category as the game proceeds.
