The briefs for the task are as follows:
To everyone except Rylan:
Build the lightest tower on this set of scales.
You may not move the scales or tape anything to them, and you may not tamper with or block the fan.
The fan will be on for one minute every other minute.
At the end of 10 minutes, your tower must be taller than a wolf and stand by itself for 10 seconds.
Lightest tower wins.
Your time starts now.

- John built a tower out of a funnel, a reed stick, and a feather, weighing 160g.
- Krishnan built a tower out of old tea boxes, which he set on fire to add light to the tower, reducing the weight from 190g to 185g.
- Nicola tried to build a tower out of various objects, but it kept getting knocked down by the fan. She ended up with just a roll of blue paper towel on the scales, which was the size of a meerkat.
- Rylan found some fairy lights, which he attached to the top of the bio-dome so they would hang down onto the scales and still be taller than a wolf. Despite arguing that he had made a tower, light in both weight and luminosity, Greg judged that Rylan did not build a tower, disqualifying him from the task.
- Shirley built a tower out of a duck watering can, pipe cleaners, and a selfie stick, weighing 265g.
