Puk draws from (fictional) prior work experience

After fiddling around with the bubble machine, apparently unfamiliar with how it works, Puk looks underneath the table and finds the radio control.

She spots the battery on top of the car, and reasons that the torch on the table must also have a battery inside of it. She removes both batteries and places them next to the bubble machine.

Puk voices her worry to Mark about the lack of a plug for the machine. She then decides to attempt to retrieve the bathrobe from across the lab – and does so by standing on her toes at the very edge of the marker spot, and using the cactus to hook the bathrobe off of the wall. Puk credits her success with her past experience working in a clothing store (though later on, in the studio, she does not remember ever having done such work, and does not remember having claimed to, during the task).

Puk finds the power supply inside the bathrobe, and briefly panics about the possible locations of the two missing batteries, before realising that the car’s radio control is also battery-operated. She quickly puts all four batteries into the power supply and then turns on the machine.

Puk completes the task in 12 minutes and 23 seconds, and earns third place.
