Tobias is bested by a torch

After reading the task brief, Tobias picks up the bubble machine to inspect it, and immediately spills most of the bubble liquid over the table. He pleads with Mark for reassurance that he has not been the only contestant to make such a mistake (naturally, footage of Carsten doing the same is immediately shown).

Tobias attempts to turn on the torch, but as he is “neither outdoorsy nor an electrician”, he quickly becomes frustrated when he cannot make it work. Still, Tobias persists, to the point where Mark rhetorically asks if Tobias has ever seen television shows where apes are given human objects.

Tobias eventually abandons the torch and spots the radio-controlled car. In footage that does not make the edit of his attempt, he locates the control beneath the table, and retrieves the car. However, he does not immediately spot the battery on top of the car.

The rest of the footage of his attempt is a bit confusing, but Tobias uses the cactus to retrieve the bathrobe, where he finds the battery pack, then puts all four batteries inside it, and turns on the machine.

Tobias completes the task in 16 minutes, and earns fourth place.
